Silk N Linen sells original Lucknowi Chikankari in Bangladesh — the hand-embroidered kurtis, two-piece and three-piece sets of Lucknow, India, and the same work cut small for little girls — from our showroom in Uttara, Dhaka, and online across Bangladesh and abroad. What we sell
Chikankari is Lucknow's centuries-old tradition of white-on-colour and tone-on-tone hand embroidery — shadow work, jaali, knots and stems stitched into light, breathable cloth. It is the everyday elegance of North India, and we bring it to Bangladesh in cuts and colours that suit life here.
- One Piece — the kurti on its own, in seven cuts: Reyon Cotton in thirty-eight colours, Anarkoli, Semi Gorgeous, Gorgeous, Short Reyon, Short Frock and Black Multi.
- Two Piece — kurti with matching trousers, in three cloths: Mul Cotton florals, Reyon Cotton in twenty-two colours, and the Modal Shirting set from our Premium line.
- Three Piece — kurti, bottom and dupatta, for occasions.
- Premium Lucknow — finer, denser hand embroidery, made slowly: Viscose in fifteen colours, Modal Shirting, and Modal Shirting as a two-piece set.
- Kashmiri — Kashmir's aari embroidery on soft cotton, in thirteen colours.
- Sleeveless Lucknow — our summer line, lined and cool, in five colours.
- Baby Lucknow — the same hand embroidery cut small, for girls: kurta, sharara and dupatta in six colours.
Our women's kurtis run in sizes 32 to 48, a few styles in a shorter run; the children's sets run in sizes 20 to 36, which is roughly nought to fourteen years. Because every piece is hand-embroidered and hand-stitched, small variations of half an inch to an inch in measurement, and slight differences between the colour on screen and in hand, are part of the craft rather than a fault.

A colour marked sold out is one we have run out of; because the embroidery is done by hand in small lots, it does not always come back.

Delivery across Bangladesh and worldwide
Orders are delivered through our logistics partner, Pathao Courier. Inside Dhaka, parcels usually arrive within 24 to 48 hours; elsewhere in Bangladesh within 3 to 5 working days. We also ship worldwide — message us with your country and we will quote the courier cost before you commit.
We accept cash on delivery and bKash. Please inspect your garments while the delivery rider is present; we are unable to accept returns once delivery is complete. Wholesale enquiries are welcome on the same WhatsApp number.
Caring for Chikankari
Turn the garment inside out, hand wash gently with a mild shampoo, air dry naturally and iron on a suitable setting. Richly dyed pieces may release a little excess colour in the first few washes; the colour itself will not fade.
